Data Security / Encryption
Friends of Salem Association makes use of  technical support measures in alignment with current standards of technology and the latest recommendations of the Federal Agency for Security and Information Technology in order to guarantee data security, in particular to protect your personal data from endangerment during data transmission or access by unauthorized third parties.
Data exchanged through our online forms is encrypted using SSL technology.

Gathering and processing of private data
In principle you can use the website of Friends of Salem Association without disclosing your private data. We will only store your personal information in order to process your request efficiently. Insofar as you are requested to supply your personal or professional information (E-mail addresses, names, addresses) to us, you do this on an explicitly voluntary basis. You have the right to request – free of charge – information on which personal data we have saved about you. Additionally, you have the legal right to change information, to block information and to delete personal information we might have stored.

Friends of Salem Association will only use your personal information in order to provide you with the desired information or services (e.g. newsletter) and for any purposes you’ve given us permission. Collecting of data for statistical purposes
By visiting websites in general some information about you will be necessarily stored – e.g. your IP adress, the website you are coming from and the name of your internet service provider. This information possibly allows identification of persons but Friends of Salem Association doesn’t make use of individual-related information about the website visitors. To continuously enhance our website we analyze the server logfiles for statistical purposes - but in doing so the website visitors stay anonymously.

Anonymisation of IP addresses
Please note that the website of Friends of Salem Association uses the Google extension “gat._anonymizeIp();” to ensure that IP addresses are collected anonymously (known as IP Masking).


Deletion of Your Data / Revoking Consent
To the extent that your data is no longer needed for the above-stated purposes, the data will be deleted. However, when we are legally required to store data, it will be blocked.
